Dr. Zhang got his Bachelor & Master degrees in Zhengzhou University, PhD graduated in Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Researched the bio-materials in the University of Akron as a post-doctor. Currently worked in SEKISUI SPI as a researcher, mainly focused on the aviation, mass transit, medical, automotive industries. Rich experience in new product innovation and project management. Member of ACS; Member of SPE.
Explain the importance of the C919 airliner for Chinas industrial upgrade from the global aviation volume market forecast and aircraft part industries development. With couple years technological progress, composite and plastics become the important materials in aviation industry for they satisfy the important requirements of the aircraft structure and design. Light weight, high reliability, and passenger safety are very important element for the aircraft design. The flammability and smoke are key safety requirement for the aviation material innovation, different flame retardants are introduced in the presentation. One example is exhibited how to apply scientific knowledge to solve the industrial problems.
