Mechanistic Studies on Cellular Autophagy Process and Its Regulation for Therapeutic Purpose

About the speaker

Dr. Li graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2010 with her discipline covering biochemistry, molecular biology and molecular pharmacology. Since funded in 2012, she has been working as a PI on the functional studies of cellular autophagy signaling pathway at the atomic level to contribute to this field.

Talk Introduction

This talk will focus on the autophagy-related topics which the candidate has been working on recently and which she will exert further efforts to study on in the near future, including the role of this cellular homeostasis process, the structural and functional characterization of autophagy-related proteins, the regulation mechanisms in autophagy pathway, application of this research for therapeutic purpose, and the ideas and approaches the candidate proposes to employ in her research. Some unpublished data will be presented. The needs for her planned research will also be presented.
