On August 11, 2018, 27 teachers and students of the Institute for Advanced Study of Shenzhen University completed a two-week summer camp at the University of Maryland.

During the two-week visiting, the group knew the educational mode and customs of America. Various activities, such as lectures, academic writing lectures, visits, campus sports activities, market research, American cultural practices and robotic experiments, the group has experienced the study and life of America in different aspects.

It’s the third time that the Institute for Advanced Study of Shenzhen University went to the University of Maryland for a summer visit based on the “Agreement on SZU-UMD Teacher&Student Communication and Exchange Program”. It would strengthen the cooperation between IAS and UMD in teacher&student exchanges, collaborative research and establishmentt of joint laboratories.
