To remember history, firm ideal and faith, comprehend the situation of our country, help the poor, and let students get exercise in practice, the Institute for Advanced Study of Shenzhen University established the Lighthous Practice Team of Chinese Education Team under the theme of“Building the Chinese Dream, Leading by the Lighthouse". On July 13, 2018, the team came to Changsha, Hunan Province to carry out a three-day summer social practice with Teacher Yilin Peng in the lead.
In the morning of July 13th, the team started from Shenzhen. In the afternoon, the team visited the old site of the Committee of the Hunan District Committee (the former residence of Mao Zedong and Yang Kaihui), and held a swearing ceremony for the members of the Communist Party members. Later, the team came to see the Mao Zedong’s Youth Art Statue of Orange Island, and went to Ningxiang No. 1 Middle School in Ningxiang County to give a lecture and help the poor students with their dream. Finally, the team visited the site of Hunan First Provincial Normal School.

On the afternoon of July 13, the team arrived at the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. In the midsummer sun, the team reviewed the swearing-in ceremony of joining the League.
The swearing ceremony
Mao Zedong's poems recorded the history of the Chinese revolution and reflected the course of struggle for nearly half a century. When reading the poems again, the team felt broad spiritual conception of Mao Zedong and deepened the understanding of the history of the Red Army's Long March, the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation. The team also listened to the history of Hunan District Committee of the Communist Party of China from the staff of the the former residence.

On July 14th, the team came to Ningxiang No. 1 Middle School. At Class 731, the members shared their university study life and introduced the Shenzhen University admissions policy of Shenzhen University. The team also actively helped students here to solve the problems they faced and tried its best to realize their dream.
