Talk Abstract:
For a Lie groupoid G with Lie algebroid A, we realize the symplectic leaves of the Lie-Poisson structure on A^* as orbits of the coadjoint action of the jet groupoid J G. It is also shown that there is a fiber bundle structure on each symplectic leaf. In the case of gauge groupoids, a symplectic leaf is the universal phase space for a classical particle moving in a Yang-Mills field. This is a joint work with Honglei Lang.
About the Speaker:
Pro. Zhangju Liu graduated from Peking University with a Ph.D. degree in 1986 and received Scientists China National Funds for Distinguished Young in 1999. He worked as the editorial board of SCIENCE CHINA in 2003-1011. Prof. Liu currently serves as a professor at School of Mathematics Sciences, Peking University and the editor ofAdvances In Mathematics. The research interests Prof. Liu are in Poisson geometry, higher order structure and mathematical physics.
