Attention——The Deadline for Registration of the 2018 ICSE and ICF is Closing
The registration system for the two classes of the Innovation Class in Science and Engineering (ICSE) and the Innovation Class in Fintech (ICF) of IAS began on August 1st and will keep processing applications until 23:59, August 26th. Please pay attention to the deadline for the Students who plan to apply for the two calsses should pay attention to the deadline so as not to miss the registration.

Introduction
As a special platform in Shenzhen University, IAS will build a team consisting of experienced professors with international vision and young teachers with great potential and adopt best-practice management methods used by overseas research universities to foster collaborations with world-class universities in HongKong and abroad and create an academic atmosphere and training environment to meet with the international standards with the overall goal of attaining excellence in teaching, research and management in the cross fields of marine resources and environment, functional materials, biotechnology, and financial technology. The Institute started the ICSE in 2014 and continues to start the ICF in 2018.
1.Teaching——Teaching students according to their aptitude for the elite education
Small Size: ISCE and ICF would adopt 60 students through secondary selection among the freshmen of Shenzhen University, respectivel.
High Proficiency: All full-time academic staff at IAS will serve as freshmen supervisors and professional tutors for students. In addition, combined with the practical characteristics of the major, some elites in this industry will be arranged to serve as industry instructors.
Cross-disciplinary Focus: With an emphasis on interdisciplinary teaching and research, students from ICSE are given a strong foundation in the fundamental and related interdisciplinary fields of functional materials, marine resources and environment, biotechnology; ICF focuses on application and practice, involving multidisciplinary and multi-field training.
Basic Courses: IAS emphasizes basic education to student. After two years, students from ICSE will be trained in separate majors according to their individual willing and major; students from ICF would have more chances to practice in companies.
Research-based: IAS attaches great importance to the science research quality and the exploring and innovative spirit. All junior students from ICSE will join their advisors' laboratory research group or join famous companies for experiential learning.
Internationalization: All professional basic courses and core courses are taught in bilingual teaching. The teaching of the main courses is carried out by international teachers and teachers with overseas study experience.
2.Scholarship——A full-tuition scholarship for the freshmen year
All students from ICSE and ICF can receive a full-tuition scholarship for their freshmen year and apply for the Top Innovation Talent Scholarship, scholarships of IAS from the second year onwards. See the Institute for Advanced Study Scholarship and Grant Management Rules for details.
3.Graduation Prospect——Go abroad for further study or join famous companies
IAS applies an elite education to cultivate creative personnel. Among the first graduates of IAS, 30% would go abroad or domestic universities for further study, 35% would study for a master's degree at IAS, 10% would enter into Double First-rate universities for further study and the rest would work in famous companies or become self-employed.
