1. Solid-state batteries: the design and mechanism study of (1) solid-state electrolytes, and (2) functional interfacial layers between the electrodes and electrolytes.
2. Electrocatalysts: the preparation and mechanism analysis of porous carbon-based materials, single-atom-based materials, and multi-functional hybrids for ORR, HER, and OER.
3. Lithium-sulfur batteries: the design of polysulfide-immobilized layers, and sulfur hosts/catalysts for high-performance batteries.
