Talk Introduction
Sustainability is the key concept to balance societal, environmental and economic needs (People, Planet, Profit). From a scientific and technological point of view, material chemistry plays an essential enabling role in developing and advancing applications and processes to support sustainability, in a way that will allow humanity to meet current environmental, economic and societal needs without compromising the progress and success of future generations. As one of the frontier research areas of materials chemistry, molecular materials and devices for solar energy conversion aim to address the current societal challenges related to sustainability and energy by molecular approach, are of great importance. In this talk, Dr. Xu will introduce his works on molecular materials and devices for application insustainable energy systems, such as the third-generation solar cells and artificial photosynthesis devices.
