Abstract: This talk covers the process and some practical tips for writing a book with Springer. It will also provide general information about how to improve the impact of the author’s publications. Trends and new technologies are introduced, along with a brief introduction of Springer Nature and its book programs in China.

报告摘要：本讲座旨在介绍在Springer Nature出版英文专著的流程以及撰写技巧，以及一些提升学术作品影响力的简单策略，也会介绍一些科技出版业的概况、前沿技术和发展趋势。

Bio: Dr. Mengchu Huang is responsible for publishing books on applied sciences, based in Shanghai, China. He received B.S. degree in Physics from Peking University in 2009 and Ph.D. degree in Material Science and Engineering from Arizona State University in 2013. Mengchu joined the Springer Shanghai office (now part of Springer Nature) in 2014 and he is interested in areas including: Applications of Physics and Material Science, Transportation, Urban planning and Smart city; Clean Energy; Instrumentation, measurement and devices; and Information Technology, simulation and computation.

嘉宾简历：黄梦初博士负责Springer Nature应用科学类英文图书在中国的出版业务。他先后毕业于北京大学和亚利桑那州立大学，获得物理专业学士(2009)和材料科学专业博士学位(2013)。2014年加入Springer上海办公室，负责的学科领域主要包括物理学和材料科学的应用、城市交通、清洁能源技术、设备与器件以及计算工程和模拟等等。
