报告摘要：

A fundamental problem in low-dimensional topology is to find the minimal genus of embedded surfaces in a 3-manifold or 4-manifold, in a given homology class. Ni and Wu solved a 3-dimensional minimal genus problem for rationally null-homologous knots. In this talk, we will first give a new proof for Ni-Wu's result, then we study an analogous 4-dimensional minimal genus problem for rationally null-homologous knots. This is a joint work with Zhongtao Wu.

嘉宾简介：

杨璟玲教授现为厦门大学数学系助理教授。杨璟玲毕业于香港中文大学，主要从事低维拓扑，纽结理论，Heegaard Floer理论的应用。杨璟玲教授在MATH PROC CAMBRIDGE，J KNOT THEOR RAMIF等国际知名杂志上发表过文章。同时，杨璟玲教授也担任德国《数学文摘》(Zentralblatt MATH)的评论员。
