嘉宾简介:
荣俊臣,巴黎综合理工博士后。长期从事量子场论相关研究,重点关注共形自举(conformal bootstrap)以及共形场论在凝聚态物理中的引用。曾在德国电子加速器研究所(DESY)、巴黎高等研究院(IHES)、韩国汉阳大学等机构从事博士后研究工作。
报告摘要:
Conformal field theory is the universal language to describe many second-order phase transitions in nature. I will summarize our work on using conformal field theory as a probe to study problems in quantum many-body physics. The topics will consist of three parts:
1, temperature-Resistant Order and reverse spontaneous symmetry: We build a field theory model where a symmetry-breaking phase can persist to arbitrarily high temperature.
2, a novel phase in the quantum loop model: We combine CFT techniques with large-scale Monte Carlo simulations to discover a highly quantum phase of the quantum loop model.
3, conformal interface between two-dimensional CFTs: We construct and solve exactly a conformal interface between the Ising and tri-critical Ising CFT, which may be realized in a Rydberg atom array simulator.
