On December 4, Prof. Qi Liu and his delegation from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) paid a visit to the Institute for Advanced Study. They were warmly received by the Assistant Dean of the Institute for Advanced Study Dr. Yang Wei and Prof. Meng Li and research scientists from the Institute for Advanced Study at the Conference Room 207 of the Office Building.

In the meeting, Dr. Yang Wei welcomed the delegation and introduced the development of the Institute for Advanced Study, including the overview, research fields and laboratories. Then Prof. Qi Liu also analyzed their laboratories, CCUs Technology, greenhouse gas storage and oil exploitation and utilization.

After that, the delegation and several research scientists from the Institute for Advanced Study delivered their reports about their research interests. They had an extensive and in-depth discussion on the related issues, which expanded the international vision in those fields and inspired new ideas of research.

The meeting deepened the understanding between the two sides, and provided a great platform for the two sides to establish cooperative relations.
