On December 13, Prof. Jihong Yu was invited to give a lecture at No.2 Lecture Hall of Technology Building at Shenzhen University, titled “Design, Construction and Application of Molecular Sieve Nanoporous Materials”.
The lecture was hosted by Prof. Steven F. Chen, Dean of IAS with the presence of students and teachers from IAS. Prof. Chen introduced and welcomed Prof. Yu at the beginning of the lecture.
In her talk, Prof. Yu introduced molecular sieve nanoporous materials, which have been used in main fields related to energy and the environment, such as energy-saving catalytic processes, environmentally friendly adsorption and separation, waste and energy storage. In recent years, Prof. Yu and her team have been concentrated on the study and application of functionally directed molecular sieve nanoporous materials and have made great progresses.
Prof. Yu’s lecture has been popular with a vast number of students and teachers. At the end of the lecture, IAS teachers and students hadstimulating discussions with Prof. Yu for scientific problems in molecular sieve nanoporous materials.
After the report, a mobilization meeting for the application for the National Natural Science Fund was held at Teaching Class at No.2 Lecture Hall of Technology Building. Prof. Huai Yang and Prof. Yu explained and answered the questions about the application.
