The government of Hezhou City held the 3rd Greater Bay Area High-level Talent Activities under the topic of Integrate into the Greater Bay Area and Share Great Health from November 12 to November 15, 2019. Professor Steven F. Chen, the dean of the Institute for Advanced Study at Shenzhen University was invited to attend the activity and gave a keynote talk entitled changes, problems, and countermeasures in the development of the health food industry in the context of great health. He first analyzed the industrial economic development and location advantage of Hezhou City and then introduced the important role of microalgae in the food industry and its economic benefits to the participants. At last, he ended his speech with the analyzing of the opportunities and challenges for Hezhou City to develop the health food industry.

More than 80 high-level talents of the health care field in Greater Bay Area came to attend this activity, including two academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, one is Yunde Hou, the winner of 2017 National Highest Science and Technology Awards, and the other one is Shizhen Zhong, professor of Southern Medical University. The experts made significant speeches and provided many opinions and suggestions for Hezhou City to help it accelerate the development of the greater health industry.
