The 3rd Interdisciplinary Forum of IAS will be held at 19:00 on June 12 at No.3 Lecture Hall of Technology Building, titled with "Intelligent Material: Technology, Life and Health".
The 3rd Interdisciplinary Forum will discuss how intelligent materials can be prepared and applied in the external or internal environment(light, electricity, heat, magnetism, stress, strain, chemistry, etc.), involving in two-dimensional materials, electrocatalytic materials for energy and electronics applications, intelligent information storage materials, functional nanomaterials, wearable materials and intelligent diagnostic probe, and also invite experts from different research fields.
Titled with "Intelligent Material: Technology, Life and Health", the forum will invite speakers including Prof. Han Zhang from College of Optoeletronic Engineering, Prof. Xianzhu Fu from College of Materials Science and Engineering, Prof. Xuechang Zhou from Health Science Center, Research Scientist Ye Zhou and Wu Li from IAS and Prof. Steven Feng Chen, Dean of IAS and Prof. Zhiping Zheng from South University of Science and Technology of China will be invited to be the guests.
Intelligent material is a kind of intelligent material which can analyze, process, judge and take appropriate measures to respond to the stimulus of perceptual environment (including internal and external environment).The idea originates from bionics, aiming to develop "living" materials with various functions similar to those of biology. Therefore, intelligent materials must have three basic elements: perception, drive and control. Intelligent materials have broad prospects for development and its unique bio-intelligence function has shown superior performance and broad application prospects in various fields of the national economy. At the same time, intelligent material has developed into a new multi-disciplinary comprehensive science. IAS invites teachers and students to participate actively in this forum, sharing knowledge and discussing each other.
