The 3rd Interdisciplinary Forum of IAS was launched at 19:00 on June 12 at No.1 Lecture Hall of Technology Building. Its invited speakers were Prof. Han Zhang from College of Optoeletronic Engineering, Prof. Xianzhu Fu from College of Materials Science and Engineering, Prof. Xuechang Zhou from Health Science Center, Research Scientist Ye Zhou and Wu Li from IAS and Prof. Steven Feng Chen, Dean of IAS and Prof. Zhiping Zheng from South University of Science and Technology of China were invited to be the guests. This was the 3rd Interdisciplinary Forum hosted by Shenzhen University, organized by IAS. This year's theme was " Intelligent Material: Technology, Life and Health", discussing how intelligent materials can be prepared and applied in the external or internal environment(light, electricity, heat, magnetism, stress, strain, chemistry, etc.). Research Scientist Hai Xiong from IAS first hosted the forum and introduced the guests and the theme of this forum. The six speakers also gave presentations on their own research interests and discussed the research status and the mystery of intelligent materials in different fields.

The two experts commented humorously on their own experiences and praised the reports of the six speakers. Then the six speakers joined with the two experts for a discussion on intelligent materials, making the forum reach the climax.

In the end, Prof. Chen and Prof. Zheng summaried the whole forum and issued the certification to the six speakers and took photos with them. The forum offered a platform to promote the development of cross-disciplinary integration and communication between teachers and students in different reaearch fields and also further expands the influence of the Interdisciplinary Forum of shenzhen university.
