Speaker Introduction:
Distinguished Professor of Suzhou University (Full-time), Founder and First Dean of the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at Suzhou University (2013-), Adjunct Professor (2017-)of School of Basic Medicine and Biological Sciences at Suzhou University.
He used to be a full-time professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials at the University of Auckland, professor in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology and deputy director of the Engineering Department at Monash University, director of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at Xiamen University.
He graduated from Tsinghua University with a bachelor's degree in engineering mechanics in 1987 and obtained a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Canterbury University in 1991. He also got a master's degree in applied mathematics at the University of New South Wales in 2014. His main research fields are biological and food engineering, biomimetic chemicals, pellet technology, drying technology, spontaneous combustion phenomenon, scaling and cleaning of heat exchangers, low-temperature concentration technology, and transfer phenomena. Up to now, he has published more than 600 scientific journal articles and more than 220 conference articles.
