Talk Introduction
Environmental pollution and energy shortage are the main concerns for the sustainable development of human society. Among various strategies, photocatalysis represents a promising technique to achieve environmental remediation and alternative clean energy supplies under the irradiation of solar light. Generally, efficient photocatalytic systems should satisfy several criterions, which is difficult for single photocatalytic components. Hence, constructing heterogeneous materials with multiple functions integrated is necessary for obtaining high solar-energy conversion efficiency. In this talk, the construction of several different heterogeneous photocatalytic systems including NaYF4: Yb, Tm@ZnO, YF3: Yb, Tm@BiOCl, BiOCl-Ag and BiOCl@Bi2O3 will be discussed. Additionally, the photocatalytic applications such as pollution removal, water splitting, and CO2 reduction will also be presented.
